2010 Chef's Survey of What's Hot

Locally Grown Produce predicted to be theTop Trend in 2010

The National Restaurant Association surveyed more than 1,800 professional chefs regarding their opinions and predictions of food trends for 2010. Not surprisingly, Locally Grown Produce tops the list, with "Locally Sourced Meat and Seafood", "Sustainabliity" and "Locally Produced WIne and Beer" rounding out the Top 5 Trends.

Of course this is extremely encouraging not only for growers and producers, but for consumers as well. Supporting your local economy through the purchase of locally grown and produced products continues to provide benefits long after the purchase. The association also reported restaurants with their own gardens are considered the hottest restaurant concept in the coming year.
