Searching via the Search Box on Locavore Network
Locavore Network provides a very powerful search capability that allows you to find just about anything with one search.
As an example, lets say you want to use your Juicer to make juice with beets, carrots and cilantro as the key ingredients.
To find these items near you, in the Search Box located in the upper right hand side of the screen, enter your State name (or zipcode), and then the words cilantro beets carrots. There is no need to enter a comma between the terms. just click on the Search button. The search will bring back the profiles that match ALL of the search terms. If you get no results from your search, reduce the number of terms in the search box.
Be sure to Optimize your Profile
Generally speaking, when people are using Search Engines to find an item they want to buy, they enter specific product names rather than a category. So in the Product Information tab on your profile, avoid using the terms "Fruit and Vegetables" or "all kinds of Fruit". Instead, enter specific product names like "Cherries" or "Cabbage".
Within your Profile information (located on the "Basics tab in your Profile), be sure and spell the entire name of your State. Our internal database needs the State name to create the list of Growers in each State.
