Renewable Energy Sources
When we speak of energy and power, we typically think of "development', "industrialization", "advancement" and then associate those terms with pollution and the degradation of the environment. But the generation of energy does not necessarily need to cause harm to the ecology
Prior to the discovery of oil, the primary means of providing power to civilization was through methods we now consider "Alternative". Although we may have improved on some of the tools required to harvest and deliver this Alternative energy, the sources today are the same as they were eons ago. The primary change in this energy scenario is that we now have more advanced methods of capturing, storing and transmitting the energy.
This section of Locavore Network is dedicated to discussions of these Alternative sources as well as how we may be able to utilize them in our home and businesses.
We have sections on Solar, wind, hydro and geothermal energy. Inside, we offer articles and sourcing information on each of them with a place for you to leave comments.
